Public Relations and Development Director
 
 
Location: Amsterdam, NY                                             
Reports To: CEO                                                                  
Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment             
Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5hrs/week.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent experience of four years working in a public relations or fund raising.
  • CFRE Certification Preferred  

Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategies to support the public image and community relations for Liberty and its subsidiaries.
  • Create and oversee the implementation of fund raising activities which may include but are not limited to: special events, direct mail, annual appeal, major gifts, corporate donations and planned giving.
  • Plan, develop and assure implementation of organization’s marketing strategies & communications and public relations activities, both external and internal
  • Act as a resource to CEO and staff for internal public relations and communications
  • Act as organization’s primary representative/spokesperson with the media
  • Develop and assure the successful coordination and implementation of a fund development plan.
  • Assure that subordinates and department policies and procedures support personal outcomes and contribute to maintaining accreditation standards through meeting established principles.
  • Oversee grant writing activities for the organization.
  • Supervise Public Relations staff
