Corporate Compliance/Quality Assurance - Audit Coordinator
 
Location: Amsterdam, NY                                             
Reports To: Corporate Compliance Officer                                                                
Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment, willing to travel within the county and Delaware, as assigned
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/wk, some schedule flexibility
 
Job Summary:
The CC/QA Auditor will conduct each audit based on the premise of optimal service to the individual served, in-keeping with the agency mission statement. This is intended to identify best practice/performers and ensure that performance outcome commitments by the agency/programs/staff are met. Risks and gaps to individuals and the agency are to be detected by the auditor, and then reported accordingly to the CCO and consequently to Program Administration. Working closely with the Operations staff in solution-based thinking to improve quality and reduce risk essential.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in a related field
           OR
           Associate’s Degree with two years of auditing or compliance experience required.
 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license, daily access to a vehicle and a driver’s abstract which is acceptable to the agency’s Transportation Policy, are all required.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Conduct QA/billing, field and desk audits to understand and ensure compliance associated with the Protections, Staff Credentialing, Health Services, Individualized Planning & Services and Community Inclusion for the individuals we serve.
  • Compile and generate timely reports of audit findings and recommendations.
  • Partner with CCO/Program Administration to ensure plans of corrective action are prepared by Operations in a timely, comprehensive manner and address needed quality improvement and risks to individuals served and the agency as a whole.
  • Monitor implementation and follow up to plans of corrective action and report status of all POCA’s to the CCO monthly.
  • Conduct on-site internal site reviews and program sites by completing a thorough checklist with collaborations from the Operations team.
  • Present all completed audit findings at Exit Conferences as well as attending and presenting at Quarterly Corporate Compliance meetings.
  • Maintain tracking/trending system for all elements of QA, and produce periodic reports.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of regulations and agency quality assurance standards.
  • Serves as a primary resource in providing education and training on Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance, in collaboration with the Operations team and training department.
  • Assists Corporate Compliance Officer/Director of QA with other quality improvement activities as assigned.
