Senior Medicaid Service Coordinator
 
 
Location: Amsterdam, NY                                             
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Assistant Director of MSC                                                       
Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment
Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri,
                                additional evening and weekend hours as
                                required by caseload
 
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services
  • One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • One year as a service coordinator with any population
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the agency intake coordinator regarding MSC referrals, MSC enrollment and waiver enrollment;
  • Deliver case management services as required by Federal and State regulations governing MSC and Home and Community Based Waiver Services (HCBS)
  • Supervise MSCs to ensure regulatory and record compliance; review case notes, monthly summaries, ISPs, LCEDs, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between service providers, individuals we support and agency departments;
  • Fulfill all state and agency training requirements. 
    Job Summary:
  • Complete MSC and waiver enrollments
  • Deliver case management services as needed
  • Supervise Medicaid Service Coordinators to ensure regulatory compliance
