Residential Manager - Floating

Location: Montgomery County, NY                            
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To:  Assistant Director                                                
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer consumers, walking, climbing, bending and reaching. 
Hours of Work: Full time- 40 hours per week. Work hours vary.  Frequent evening hours required, 24 hour emergency coverage required. . Spot checks conducted at various times, frequency, and shift to ensure unexpected visits. On call responsibilities.
Pay Range: The pay range is $27.25 to $36.00



Job Summary:  Manage homes, as assigned, due to vacancy or need.  This position rotates management responsibilities frequently in order to cover needed vacancies. Responsible for managing staff, schedules and finances of the site.  Responsible to ensure compliance with all OPWDD & OFPC regulations and state survey results. Ensure that all people supported have excellent supports and live the lives they love.  Ensure relationships are built that are collaborative and person centered. 

Job Qualifications: 
  1. High School Diploma/GED is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years prior experience working directly with program participants and supervising staff functions is required. 
  3. Medication certification is required.
  4. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  5. Valid NYS Driver’s license is required.
  6. Travel is required; employee must have reliable transportation available.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor all functions of home operation; ensure supports are present for all people in the home.
  2. Responsible for the supervision, collaboration, discipline, hiring and termination of direct support staff in the home.
  3. Comply with Residential regulations, agency policy and procedures, training and documentation.
  4. Maintain budgetary compliance with staff schedules, overtime and household expenses.
  5. Ensure accurate documentation and billing requirements.
  6. Schedule direct support staff and perform direct support duties as needed.
  7. Work with family, advocate, or correspondent on behalf of people supported in the home.
