The Coordinator of Employment Services is responsible for the direct oversight of day to day operations of the Employment Services department (Career & Employment Network, CEN) at Liberty ARC. The Coordinator of Employment Services will contribute to development and implementation of agreed upon strategies with the goal of: increasing employment outcomes for people served while expanding and maximizing the funded programs.
High school diploma/GED required
Associates Degree preferred
Candidate must have strong communication, typing, computer, telephone and organizational skills.
Marketing experience preferred
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
Valid NYS Driver’s License
2 years of Vocational Rehabilitation experience or related field experience preferred
Responsible for the direct oversight of the day to day operations of the Career & Employment Network., Promote the values of the employment services to businesses throughout Montgomery County by meeting with decision makers to seek work opportunities for the individuals we support.
Contribute to the development and implementation of agreed upon strategies with the goal of increasing employment outcomes for people services while expanding and maximizing the funded programs.
Duties of this job will also include but are not limited to the management, discipline, hiring and termination of employees at the Career and Employment Network. Ensuring that the off-site location is meeting safety standards as set forth by the Liberty Safety Manager.
Monitor and maintain programs within identified budgets. Contribute to budget development and monitoring addressing necessary program resources
Assist in coordination of all Marketing aspects for Liberty’s Employment Services
Act as a liaison coordinating job placement between employer and job placement teams (CEN & Community Connections)
Supervise and assist CEN staff to ensure program goals are achieved related to milestones and revenue targets
Facilitate bi-weekly staff meeting and weekly job development meetings.
Participate and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to consumers, prospects, administrative staff and the community.
Maintain a list of consumers pursuing job opportunities, track placements and stabilizations
Provide Person-Centered individual support appropriate with the individual’s personal outcome and goals.
Responsible for the day to day execution of services and monitoring/review of billings for various funding sources included but not limited to OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities), ACCES-VR (Adult Career & Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation), OMH (Office of Mental Health), State Aid, School programs and other grant funded programs.
Ensure up-to-date and accurate case records for each assigned consumer
Maintain professional internal and external relationships with businesses and other providers which uphold the agencies core values
Perform direct service delivery duties when necessary
Assist with management of time and attendance for all CEN staff
Management and input of info into NYESS (New York Employment Services System) reporting system
Creation, maintenance and distribution of various reports and caseload lists
Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all info regarding individuals served and others
Maintain and update database of consumer information (i.e.: Therap). Train department staff in the use of Therap specific to their job functions.
Ensure timely, accurate and compliant development of support plans Complete all department specific billing reviews, preparation and submission (to various funding sources, the business office and department administration)
Responsible for the yearly tax documentation collection/distribution of approximately 55 individuals. Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of three annual events for the department; Employer’s Recognition Luncheon, Christmas party, and Summer Picnic.
